Ms. Meehan has over 35 years of critical care and emergency department nursing staff and leadership experience in acute care hospitals.  She has been a high reliability organization leader and a lean process owner, and developed, presented and implemented numerous patient safety and process improvement projects.  As the Director of the Cassatt Patient Safety Organization, she works collaboratively with member organizations’ executives, administrators, physicians, nurses and other staff to develop effective strategies to boost patient safety.  She supports members’ patient safety and quality improvement initiatives through in-person safe table meetings, patient safety risk assessments, educational programs, research and provision of simulation training equipment.
